Keep columns few

Four to six columns is plenty. If a column is always empty, remove it.

One owner per item

Many people can help; one person moves it forward.

Write the next step on the card

A checklist with the next step beats a long description.

Use urgent only when it is

Urgent notices interrupt everyone. Keep them for things that really cannot wait.

Close the week

Friday: archive what is done, move what is not, and look at next week in the agenda.
